The voice of parents, teachers and the community

Just came across this website and wish to remain anonymous. My son attended Barclays Primary School and left in 2019. AG is the most nasty manipulative and malicious woman. There were many incidents where she accused children of colour for things they had not done, and seems to have this regimented style towards the children. Children under her observation are never allowed to have any fun or appear happy in this school.
There was a time she actually called one of the child’s mother ‘that stupid woman’ in front of her son and the whole class as they were walking into the school. And even attempted to frame 2 innocent boys for scratching a teacher’s car’.
I agree with all the comments I have seen here. Is this woman still working here? She seriously needs to be gotten rid of. Extremely dangerous woman in authority. Should not be near any children.

New headteacher didn’t last long. 4 months, WOW! It is now imperative for the authorities to intervene in this school; otherwise, it won’t be long before we see a new academy scandal on national television.

I am saddened to read all the comments here. Saddened because of the children experiencing a pen-pushing, punitive, draining education environment which is the furtherest away possible from any inkling of focusing on the child. I have worked in many schools across London, and never have I encountered such an outdated victorian approach. I would urge any parents of children there to wonder why is there such a high staff turnover. I would urge parents to ask their children if the teachers are “kind”. Kids are not touched by leniency, but by feeling seen, appreciated and treated with kindness. I would urge parents to ask those who moved their kids to other neighbouring schools if they regret that move. With all the goodwill in the world, the culture there is toxic and as a member of staff I am very grateful that my children went to a other school.
